Does anyone save with the Moneybox App?

Just having a look at the 32 days notice savings account at 2.2% interest - and wondering if it's easy to set up and use?

I'd never heard of them before today. I would just be saving a bit each month

I recently set up a share ISA on Moneybox. I’m not particularly tech savvy and found it a very easy process.

I have used Moneybox in the past but currently use Chip and Plum. Chip have an easy access account with a 2.55% rate. Really easy to use and set up.

I have been using the Moneybox app for small amounts of weekly savings mainly because the interest rate was reasonable and recommended by MSE a few years ago.

I don't remember the set up details but it must have been reasonably straight forwards at the time or I would have given up.

Once open it collects money weekly and there is an option to set a payday boost.

Interest is calculated daily so you can see it accumulate.

Also displays the date you would get your money back to the account you paid in from on the app. Its fairly easy to change what you pay in but there is a week or so delay.

Mine goes from my bank every Monday and takes a few days to be credited despite the app saying it will go out on a Wednesday so I recommend starting out smallish amounts at first so you know when to expect the payments to go out.

I've only made one withdrawal so far and that went back to my current account on the expected day.

I've had no issues with it and just use it to gradually build a saving pot.

Off to look up chip and plum now. Thank you @SnowfallSnowball

Zopa does something similar, so easy to set up and the app is great.

For instant access accounts, Atom bank is easy to use and very good, they pay 2.55% and the transfers between accounts are immediate.

Is it safe? Let me know please.

@liamlucas I opened the 32 day account and it was very easy to do.

Very much as described by @antshouse above.

I have a Lifetime ISA and S&S ISA through Moneybox (set up as recommended by Martin Lewis).
Have used it for a few years now. Was quick and easy to set up and have had no issues 🤷🏻‍♀️
