Being paid twice in assessment period for uc

Hi.
My work are paying my December pay 2 weeks early which means that I will be paid twice in one assessment period for UC. So my rent and childcare will not be paid. I have tried to explain to UC that I will not be receiving any extra money as I am salaried but this will actually leave me unable to pay my rent. Has anyone had any experience of this? How can the situation be resolved?
Thank you in advance for any help or support.

Can you also work to change payment date ?

It's not UC's fault. You will need to speak to your employer and ask them to report the earnings as the day it should normally be paid. This will rectify the problem. If they won't report correctly then you will need to ask Uc to assign it to the next assessment period. They are able to do this but whilst it's being sorted it won't solve the problem of you having received less payment.

Thanks I will speak to HR tomorrow. It feels ridiculously stressful. I work for a big academy school trust so I'm hoping it is something they are already familiar with 🤞
