Hi all,

Just wondering, if I receive some form of benefits at the moment (universal credit) when I have my first scan and it's logged on my records that I'm expecting a baby can other systems see those details? As in can people at gov.co.Uk get access to records like this. I don't want them to know just yet as it will financially put me in a tricky situation so i want to wait a few months before declaring it to them but worried they may find out before hand.

Any info is much appreciated

Thanks :)

What will change with finances if the government find out you're pregnant?

You don't have to declare it to universal credits either, I would wait until 28 weeks to tell them tbh.

No they cannot access nhs systems only hmrc etc and it would make zero difference to them as until you declare your matb1 your seen as able to work full time you will only get extra money when the baby is declared and confirmed born
