How to earn extra money

Can anyone recommend ways to make money that I can fit around my main job and children please
my work have messed up my wages so I will have nothing this month, I am already struggling financially and need to earn money quickly to pay bills
I already get maximum tax credits, universal credit makes me worse off so I haven’t applied for that yet. I’m desperate and very worried so would be grateful for advice

What are your work doing to sort out your messed up wages? They should be able to do a faster payment and the money can be in your account in hours.

You should really ask your work to give you an emergency payment outside of the payroll run.
My work forgot to pay me when I returned from adoption leave. I had an emergency payment sorted within two days

Speak to your work, they should sort out a payment

cairnsarethebest · 28/10/2022 20:02

Work should do you a same day payment. What have they said when you spoke to them?

bruffin · 28/10/2022 20:13

yes work should give you an emergency payment. I managed to get the payment sorted out in hours when HR forget to pay a new employee.

They told me I would have to wait for next pay day I have made a complaint but it won’t give me my earnings quicker

Are you a member of a union @Youandmetimesthree

You need to tell them they have to pay you , and it is not acceptable they want to make you wait

LondonQueen · 29/10/2022 23:28

That's not acceptable, they need to do an emergency payment!

Youandmetimesthree · 30/10/2022 00:13

No I’m not, they said they have to speak to hmrc and it will take to my next payment as it confuses tax! I don’t understand it at all as it’s a different system from my previous jobs but they’ve outright refused to give me any money I have earned

Ok who have you complained to?

Is your manager aware of what's happening?

Have you contacted ACAS for advice on refusal to assist you with wages blunder, leaving you without funds?
