Log book and tax

I've stupidly forgot to update my address on my log book. I've now lived here 14 months. It only occurred to me today that I hadn't taxed my vehicle in a while and I checked and it was 2.5 months out of date, of course notification had gone to my old address. I then dug out the log book and noticed it still had the old address on it. I thought I'd changed it! We had our mail redirected for 6 months, I don't drive much so fingers crossed I've not had any tickets or fines issued for driving/parking. I've checked my account online and I've not got any penalties. I've now updated the tax and will change the address online tomorrow. Do you think I should ring and explain the situation? See if there are any late payment fees? Has this happened to anyone else? I

God no. It’s like ringing frank Spencer. They’re sooooo stupid. Utterly useless.
