My bank has just charged me £35 for going over my overdraft..........my mistake that this happened but isnt thee a limit to what they can charge. Thsi doesnt happen all the time but i have just changed jobs and as such have changed pay days so have had to wait 6 weeks to be paid. I thought I had moved all my bills to the new pay date but obviously not I forgot about a sneaky little school dinners cheque I wrote . do you think the bank may take pity given that this has never happened before, or do I just take it on the chin, i dont want to go to them with my sob story for some jumped up jobs worth to tell me "sorry cant do anything about it"

Yes they usually do if it is a first time. Phone them and they might refund it...especially if you plead poverty.

Currently there is no limit until this test case is finished
