So I iPhone and iPad was stolen out of my bag today, in the park today, I'm so upset! It didn't have a password I don't know what to do, they've now turned off my find my iPhone.

Will my insurance replace it?

I'm so lost without it!

Sorry to hear about this. Regarding your insurance, it depends what type you have. If you call your provider they'll be able to advise.

@MLMsuperfan I have insurance, but it's just because I don't have a password I'm afraid it's then my fault.

You can't use Find My Phone the thieves were able to disable it because you didn't set up a password lock on the phone? I doubt the insurance will care about that at all.

I imagine they might want to know about the circumstances of the loss though. If you left a bag unattended that would not be looked on favourably but if you were mugged and had a crime number this might be better?

you can report them as lost/ stolen to apple and they can be remotely locked. Obviously report to your phone company. Report to police to get a crime number then put in an insurance claim.

They wouldn't have known you didn't have a passcode until they stole it. It's just bad luck and shouldn't make any difference to the insurer paying out.
