We put £20 on ours every four or five days, but my brain isn't working at the moment so I can't work out what that would be monthly. I think it's probably a bit more than you? Although we don't have gas, everything runs off electric. We were with British Gas but have just today got a new key from edf as apparently they're cheaper - we shall see...

Btw, I don't think it costs anything to have a proper meter put in if you want one, although the girl at British Gas told me it would work out more expensive for us in terms of bills

pirategirl · 23/01/2008 16:27

i used to have a key metre, it did seem to cost one heck of alot. Yet everything in the home was on leccy, prob about £20 a week.

carol3 · 23/01/2008 16:29

I pay 40 a month, not on a key meter, I was told a key meter was the most expensive way to buy electric.

carol3 · 23/01/2008 16:30

also I use alot of electric tumble dryer always going ect.

Yaddayah · 23/01/2008 16:33

£85 (not on a meter) Still think this a lot.
