PIP timescales

Hello

I have applied for PIP today. I've sent a fair amount of supporting evidence from various medical professionals.

I'm aware I might get asked to go to an assessment.

Could anyone who has applied recently give me an idea of the timescales from application to assessment to decision?

Thanks!

I applied in May, had my phone appointment in August and am waiting on a decision.

I haven't applied myself but help people as part of my job. recent ones have taken 4 months from first phone call to decision. A lot seem to be not awarded anything. I sent in a mandatory reconsideration for one client last friday and they had reconsidered and awarded him PIP by wednesday so that was a much faster decision than expected !

Partner applied in May. Had an assessment phone call end of August and got result letter about 2 weeks later.

Thanks all. It's just good to be able to put it out of my mind for now if I know it's roughly going to take x amount of time. I feel like I've spent a million years filling the bugger in (online)!

My partner sent his application in about 3 weeks ago, his assessment is on the 19th

I applied in April. Assessed and had a decision in August.
