I know this has been done to death so I apologise now, but I’ve finally found my annual usage and been on MSE, and my cost is predicated to go up 85 %. Over £2000pa.
Just been on my provider and they aren’t offering a deal anymore, but to be honest I think I’d rather stay on variable with no leaving penalty.

Is my 85 % about the same as others ?

Pretty much. I got the last ‘decent’ fix I think but it’s still above October rates and I won’t break even till they go up again in January.
If you do manage a fix, in all probability it will be ridiculously high, even higher than January’s predicted insanity. Fixes allow you to drop back onto the svr without penalty, mine does with BG.
I’m hoping the Government do the right thing and cap the ‘cap’ to a manageable level.
My bills have gone up 300% from the (very low) fix I was on until June this year. £75 a month to £260.
