Looking for a bit of advice our 30 year old gas central heating is needing replaced
the question is what is the best option gas or electric central heating ? thanks

Gas. It is still much cheaper than electricity.

Gas is much cheaper. If you're tempted to go down the night storage heater route, really look into it - many of the older models have lost most of their heat in day (even turned down) and there isn't much warmth when most want it in the evening.

Econ10 completely solves this issue (5hrs at night, 2.5hrs in the afternoon & 2.5hrs in the evening).

No-longer available from every supplier but many still offer it as an option.
