Self assessment for higher income child benefit tax charge - online account

I am this year completing a self assessment to declare taxable employed income over £50000 so I can repay some child benefit.

Having spoken to HMRC yesterday I can now see an option online to complete my return for the last tax year but this appears under a 'business tax account' heading - does that align with others who are employed only?

Thanks in advance

No. You need to get a personal tax account set up, or find where yours is hiding.
This will show your tax for the last few years, tax codes & is the way into your self-assessment.

Thanks a lot, it's what I thought. I'll call them today to get it moved.

As an update HMRC said it really doesn't matter which part of my account the self assessment sits in and even though I'm employed only I should complete the return which is now sitting under business tax. I think that's a bit odd but he was clear.
