Can anyone explain this to me please?

From what I can gather, prices are released the day before and you aim to use your peak electricity (dishwasher etc) during the lowest tariff. Have I got this correct?

Anyone on this? Is it a complicated system?

I’m not (as currently on a relatively low fix for 2 yrs) but as an EV driver, this is talked about in the various EV Facebook groups (eg UK Electric Vehicle Owners Club and EV Drivers UK) so definitely worth asking in one of those if you don’t get any joy here

I have just switched to Octopus Agile and it definitely seems worth it if you can use washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher at cheaper times. Yesterday, for example, I saved about £2.75 over what it would have cost me otherwise (6 person household) - equivalent to about £1000 per year saving. Not everyday will be like that and I need to keep a very close eye to check that it remains competitive but there are several websites/apps that help like the octopus compare app and agileprices.co.uk website.
