Energy - tariff

Hi all

Hoping someone can help as I don't know where to begin!

We are on a flexible tariff in gas and electric with Octopus Energy. I find it all rather confusing but I don't know if we should try and move onto a fixed or something different? We didn't make any changes at the beginning of the year but our direct debit has gone up from £80 to around £350 I think so they could cover some of the winter costs. Is anyone else on a flexible tariff?

Any tips appreciated

I'm on the Octopus flexible tariff and am staying on it as the fixes they offer are ridiculous

I have just checked the fixes offered and the octopus loyal fix is 147% higher for electricity and 155% higher for gas so I'm not fixing

Thank you! Appreciate it! I don't know if I should have fixed sooner - such a minefield!

Going to stock up on some thermals so hopefully we won't need to blast the heating quite so much!
