Financing a new car

My car dramatically failed its MOT and its going to cost more than its worth to repair.
I have Credit cards and a hefty loan already. I dont have spare cash. However I need a car for work.
Anybody got any ideas on the best way to finance a used car? All finances I have seen seem to be over 5000 which I can't afford. I feel so stuck !

I got a loan out when this happened to me recently, although I note that you already have a loan. But when I looked at the numbers, this was the most sensible way to borrow the money. The more you borrow, the better the interest rate too so bear that in mind - I exactly ended up getting a more expensive car partly as a result - but I know it is just one more outgoing and I understand struggling to afford it all. Good luck, OP.
