Hi all - anybody work in pensions?
I recently moved jobs (had been in first job 9 months) and was going to have to go 6 weeks on only 3 weeks pay as a result of the move. Due to this when speaking to the pension team they said I could opt out of my pension and get a refund within 2-3 weeks, which I thought was good as it would cover the shortfall between the two jobs (I only graduated last year and just moved to NHS so wasn't too worried about losing the first 9 months of contributions).
I did the form at the start of May 2 weeks before leaving my old job. It got to the start of June and I chased my old job and they said they hadn't submitted the information yet to the pension provider but would be doing so that week
Fast forward to now, still not received refund. The provider has today said they have sent it to my old employer to pay me. Does anybody have any experience of how long it will take them to pay this? Obviously been waiting 3 months having originally been told 2-3 weeks!
TIA :)
