Universal Credit and Tax Free Childcare

Hi,

I've tried looking online but can't make sense of the answers / guidelines I've seen.

I was claiming tax free childcare (TFC) but me and my husband recently seperated so I made a claim to UC.

My UC has been processed now but they haven't paid any childcare and said it's because I'm claiming TFC.

But apparently I can't claim TFC if I claim UC so I'm confused.

Ive confirmed my eligibility for TFC before the UC claim was decided so im in my three month confirmation period until October 2022 for TFC.

Does anyone know the rules?!

You can’t claim both. UC will cover more childcare than tfc.
can you cancel the tax free?
