Loop app for Eon Smart Meter?

I have an Eon Smart Meter. Eon don’t seem to do an app but it seems the Loop app can be used with it.

The Loop app is free but you need to put bank card to verify yourself.

Has anyone used the Loop app and if so, is it useful?

I use this, it's not perfectly accurate but it's useful. I have occasional blank days where for some reason it's not able to retrieve any data. The card details confused me but it hasn't been an issue, no payments taken.

Forgot to mention you don't get the info in real time like on your smart meter display. It's updates at around midnight and then you can see the previous days info.
When I signed up there was loads of different tarriffs to choose from or you could enter your own exact unit prices but I think they recently said they had to stop that and as most people are now on the price cap tarriffs they would just use those prices in future. But it can still give you a close enough idea of your usage even if it's not exactly to the penny.

The real time info was what I mostly wanted tbh, I wanted the smart meter display on my phone, so I was quite disappointed with it. But the british gas app doesn't show me any usage information so it's still been helpful and I haven't deleted it.

I’ve got it set up now. Nothing untoward happened with my credit card.
I really like that it shows daily use so I can get an idea how much scope there is for reducing use ( 3.5 times difference from lowest to highest day since I’ve had the Smart Meter installed). Mine is complicated because I have solar panels too and I use this electricity first (not charged for).

Why on earth would you hand over your credit card details to a 3rd party for no discernable reason??
