DWP owe me money

I don’t know if anyone has been in a similar situation and can offer advice.

Essentially in April the DWP took a direct earnings notice straight from my employer of £200. This was money my partner was incorrectly allocated during the pandemic but subsequently gave back so it shouldn’t have been taken from me. They have acknowledged their mistake but I still haven’t received the money.

At his point I have had six phone calls with them (where I generally wait on hold for 30 minutes before speaking to someone) They’ve sent me off each time to get various information from my employer all of which has been provided. When I called again today they said they had everything they needed but the money had still not been traced. However the gentleman I spoke to said he’d speak to finance and get back to me. If this doesn’t end up resolving the issue I am going to lose it.

If anyone has advice that would be great. Can I call and say I want to speak to someone more senior? This has been going on for months and I don’t have time to keep calling them back and taking almost a hour out of my day to do so. 😫
