Musical Theatre Graduates

My 23 year old will be graduating from drama school next month.
As everyone knows, the industry is hard & although they have have been sent for many big auditions by the agent (signed in December by a big agency) and been recalled by many, still hasn't yet quite got there.
I'm just wondering if they can apply for any benefits like Jobseekers etc.?
Is there anybody on here in the "know" about these things?

I think if you’re claiming unemployment benefits you have to apply for and accept any suitable role (within reason). You can’t hold out for your ideal role unfortunately. That’s the same for all careers, not just acting.

My daughter works part time as a theatre usher and also claims universal credit. She doesn't get much UC due to her earnings but it reflects her higher London rent costs. She meets her Claimant commitment through her part time job but it is zero hours so she has some flexibility.

Also ushering at night is very unlikely to clash with auditions which are mostly held in the day.
