@ruralwanderer I think you must be naturally good at it! I just struggle with having deadlines because I do have a FT job...

SurvivingTheGame · 15/06/2022 19:07

Can’t decide if I want to go for search sciences or not, heard to know what’s expected. I also notice they ask what you want to earn per word / task on the sign up…

ruralwanderer · 15/06/2022 19:31

It would be a tricky one to work around a full time job as there is a considerable amount of work at times but I've found them very flexible when I've asked for more or less work depending on circumstances Smile

Buster27 · 15/06/2022 21:46

@N0va I'm finding Vinted slow just now too! Disappointing as I have no balance to spend at the moment 🤣

Fiddie · 16/06/2022 09:59

I have signed up for some new Appen projects, I'm missing the African river one!

Also if anyone wants a new bank account Monzo are offering £5 for opening it (we both get a fiver) join.monzo.com/c/y8gfz26

justalittlebitextra · 16/06/2022 15:03

@Fiddie - African river is closing completely which I'm gutted about! I'd only have another couple of months left on it until I reached the year anyway, but it was just so easy to fit around everything else and a brilliant guaranteed earner.

FamilyGredunza · 16/06/2022 16:44

Anyone do Amazon Turk?

FamilyGredunza · 16/06/2022 16:46

My phone corrected that post - I did write Mturk.

N0va · 16/06/2022 18:33

@Buster27 that's why I'm annoyed too! Grin love being able to spend it as doesn't feel like I'm spending if it doesn't leave my account!

In other news, tax rebate of £1077 is pending which I'm very excited about!

8DPWoah · 17/06/2022 20:59

I've an account @FamilyGredunza but haven't got round to trying it yet, interested to hear what anyone else makes of it?

I saw a part time WFH job for me today but when I worked out what I'd earn after childcare cost (and it wasn't a minimum wage role either) it would have been about... Drum roll... £100 a week or just a squeak over £10 a day 😂 so I reckon I'll have to stick with what I'm doing for a while longer yet!

PersianStar · 18/06/2022 11:34

Can anyone on search sciences give me some idea on what you wrote for the primary and secondary subject areas as my mind has gone blank. Did you base it around job roles etc or does it not need to be that specific. Thanks

Pyaar · 18/06/2022 21:58

@PersianStar i did primary around my work history and secondary around my intetests.

However the work I've been given so far has absolutely nothing to do with what I wrote there so I wouldn't worry too much. I think anything to make you sound vaguely competent is probably good enough??

PersianStar · 18/06/2022 22:04

@Pyaar thanks for that. In my former life I was a HR/admin manager so you’d think I’d have some vague idea of what I was doing but 3 maternity leaves later, I seem to have lost all sense of anything!

Naan32 · 19/06/2022 22:13

Thanks @ruralwanderer for this thread and to everyone else that's contributed. I wasn't familiar with the previous "Earn £10 A Day" threads.

Can anyone advise whether there are noticeable differences between using Payoneer or PayPal for Clickworker (other than minimal payout)? For instance, I know PayPal sometimes takes a fee off received money so was wondering if that applies with Clickworker payments and whether the same is true for Payoneer.

I’ve just failed the WWW test too, I thought I was doing well 😳 went for attempt 2 and my computer crashed and I timed out!

What is WWW please?

PoseyFlump · 20/06/2022 06:29

WWW is Way With Words (transcription) and I failed the test too 😂

StopDontTalkToMe · 20/06/2022 10:52

I passed the WWW audio test on my last attempt 😳

I don’t think I will pass the offline tests, there are very little guidelines and I’m not sure what they actually want!

Tinging · 20/06/2022 12:02

Has anyone passed the test for Ja*a on Appen? I failed the first attempt but there is no feedback you can just take the same test again and I’m not sure what I did wrong.

8DPWoah · 20/06/2022 18:57

@StopDontTalkToMe well done 🙂 I can't remember much but definitely keep a very close eye on the brief bit of guidance you do get (you do get loads of clear guidelines and a quick reply to any query once you're on the books) and double check any grammar or punctuation especially that you're not absolutely 100% sure on. I learned a few bits and bobs I had no idea about during my training with them!

RiverSkater · 20/06/2022 19:20

Had anybody used Toloka ? It's micro tasking. I've just signed up but haven't done any tasks. There is an App as well.

Anybody on the new Rep queue on Potato? Im finding it time consuming with all the items too long to be reviewed which I assume we don't get paid for. Most items seem to fall into this category! So much for the £10 an hour.
Confused

MaRou90 · 20/06/2022 21:12

Hi
I just want to ask how long did you wait for your £55 cashback when you used topcashback.co.uk to join Bonus Kings? I have it in my wallet but I should wait 17 weeks...
Thank you

Thanks for the tips. I’m going to submit the tests today.

Although I have just been knocked back from GT so I don’t like my chances.

Has anyone had an email saying no more N....en (the main via FB one) as it's been deprecated?

Februarycat · 21/06/2022 20:39

Yes I got the same e mail, shame as I. Liked doing that one
