@SpatzBurger it's researching and writing, ranges from short descriptions to long articles and blog posts, depending on your experience, background, interests, etc :)

Re: the referral links, I'm glad others have found them annoying too! My notifications aren't taking me to the latest message for some reason and trying to wade through referral after referral to find the new relevant post has been driving me a bit potty.

Thanks @ruralwanderer

new referral scheme going around. As far as I’m aware you just have to invite people, very similar to ohmydosh in terms of payment & offers you can do to earn more money ie free trials, surveys

minimini358 · 08/06/2022 21:45

How long did everyone wait for their first assignment after signing up for RSciences? Is this another year waiting list provider?

BecauseOfIndia · 09/06/2022 15:53

I've just been 'invited' to take the exam for Y**on on Appen. I've read comments on here about it before - is it worth doing? It seems it's not an enjoyable project! Is it worth the time spent on the exam - in terms of earning potential?

8DPWoah · 09/06/2022 19:15

I'd go for it @BecauseOfIndia because it might well 'click' for you and it be fine, it's certainly potentially a good earner (leaving aside what @Catatemyhomework says about work availability lately, that must be really annoying!). I knew early on it probably wasn't going to be for me because I queried something I have direct experience of which didn't match their set version of it- hard to explain without breaking NDA but I was 100% right- so I was always a bit sceptical. But if you can get your head into it it's a good project I'd say if a little stressful at times. It's far better run and supported than any of the other Ap projects I've done too.

@minimini358 it was literally a week after I signed up but that may have been a lucky drop!

Seems to be lots of work on WWW at the mo if anyone has been considering applying, they might have opened up recruitment again? Really recommend it if you're good on your spelling and grammar, they don't expect you to have previous transcription experience.

MaRou90 · 09/06/2022 20:59

Good evening ladies
Firstly thank you for your tips.
I know that you done many cashback and sign ups so I don't know how it will work for you but I cash out £112 from this side

BecauseOfIndia · 10/06/2022 08:27

@8DPWoah Thank you for your detailed reply. I'll give it go! Just so fed up with doing time consuming qualifications on App just to end up with no work 🙁

@minimini358 I got work almost straight away as well, although I have to say it really wasn't for me. I've packed it in after 3 weeks as it was taking me away from better paid jobs and I found the work maddening.

Catatemyhomework · 10/06/2022 09:58

@BecauseOfIndia , You should go for the Y project. The exam is in 3 parts and pretty intense. I have been on it since November. I find it quite hard and still don't know if I will survive long term BUT there is usually regular work and therefore a guaranteed income. It has been quiet lately but the long timers on the project have said it's not usual to be this quiet so it will probably pick up again. It's worth giving it a shot I think. Good luck!

SurvivingTheGame · 10/06/2022 11:17

Is modsquad worth applying to? Any really looking for decent earners at the moment. Anyone use it?

usernotfound0000 · 10/06/2022 11:40

I've just joined this thread. Thank you for all the tips so far! I've signed up to Appen and have applied for a few projects, how long can I expect to wait before I hear anything? Thanks

ruralwanderer · 10/06/2022 12:50

@usernotfound0000 unfortunately the Ap projects can be a bit length of string-ish in terms of how long it will take to be accepted. My top tip is to apply for every project you think you can do and see which come to fruition :)

My attapoll surveys are good today! On £3.85 already!

0htooooodles · 10/06/2022 13:21

@SurvivingTheGame I think it is! Been there over a year now, but it's super hard to get accepted.

usernotfound0000 · 10/06/2022 13:24

Thank you @ruralwanderer. It all looks a bit daunting but hopefully not as scary as it looks! I've just applied for a few of the simpler ones for now and will see how they go.

Buster27 · 10/06/2022 14:16

@BecauseOfIndia Agree with posters above, I think it's worth going for. The test is more time consuming/intense than most but the earning potential is better since it's long term. The fact that they're currently recruiting is hopefully a sign that the current shortage of work is temporary.. usually there's plenty.

SurvivingTheGame · 10/06/2022 15:57

0htooooodles · 10/06/2022 13:21

@SurvivingTheGame I think it is! Been there over a year now, but it's super hard to get accepted.

Thanks, might be worth giving it a go then, might not even get on

usernotfound0000 · 11/06/2022 10:09

Anyone else have issues with Atta Poll? I did quite well initially but practically every survey I get disqualifies me, usually before I even start but really annoyingly some are after I've already answered quite a few questions. I've just realised I can report individual surveys so have taken to doing that now but it is very frustrating.

Redcrayons · 11/06/2022 21:21

I’ve never got going with AttaPoll for the same reason. I seem to get quite a way through and then get screened out. Didn’t realise you could report them, will have to have a look for that.

SpatzBurger · 12/06/2022 09:22

I so miss Neevo! Nothing with them for months sadly.

MynameisJune · 12/06/2022 11:17

can I re-join? I was on these threads in 2019 when I was on Mat leave. I managed to get on potato but got kicked off when I returned back to work.

just trying to earn some extra to fund holiday spending money but reading about the waiting times for potato now I doubt it will happen in time via that route. Only took about 8 weeks last time.

Back on Appen but I’ve never had a job with them, I got one last time but it would never work so had to leave the project. Hoping something comes up, I’ve applied for everything.

I’m going to try Rev tomorrow once the kids are back at school and I’ve got time.

Anyone for any tips for anything else? I’ve earned about £7 in surveys on prolific since yesterday so going to carry on with that.

SurvivingTheGame · 12/06/2022 14:12

I wish I had listened more at school. I’m a fast typer and looked at transcription by trying the GoTranscript practice tests but god I’m awful 😳
putting my commas and full stops in all the wrong places.

Product tube is an app where you film videos of your shopping in a supermarket and you can earn amazon vouchers. Each video earns between £5 - £15. If anyone fits the following criteria -

For this project, we are looking for participants ages 18 to 64 living in the UK, who are regular buyers of Groceries at any of the following retailers:

Tesco
Sainsbury
Asda

I can refer you to join and you will earn £10 with the first video that you submit.

Pm me if interested

Baby89 · 13/06/2022 08:29

@BecauseOfIndia , I been asked to do yU*on exam also - I’m not sure how to access the guidelines can you advise thank you and good luck 🤞

BecauseOfIndia · 13/06/2022 09:38

@Baby89 If you scroll down in the email invite you'll find a link to the guidelines.

Good luck with it! I have had to reschedule mine as I'm going away but hopefully it will be worthwhile taking part. I haven't had any work from Appen for over a year, there was a time when it was my bigest earner!
