Not a bad Amur round, all Uk sites.
3 skips, all broken links.
1 pair of quite nice trainers that I may keep
1 set of sports drinks that I actually use
skincare from high street retailer.

I should probably have bought the trainers in the wrong size so I’m not tempted to keep them and get the return as they are £80 but they were just too nice.

What is Amur ?

What is Amur ?

I have no idea.

A few people have commented that they have been put off these threads lately because they are full of people’s referral links, which I can completely understand. Especially if all people see is page after page of links with no explanation as to what the actual offer is about or any tips / advice on how best to get the bonus.

I feel the same about the comments that relate to mysterious things like An, LB, and Potato etc. I know that posters who do work for these places have signed confidentiality agreements and that is why they have to use code words. However, scrolling through lots of posts about Potato and A*n and LB, that many don’t understand, are equally as irritating as posts containing just referral codes.

I personally don’t really mind scrolling past all this stuff as long as, in between it all, I can still find links to a juicy money making offers I have not heard of before, or information about a great new work at home jobs.

Would it be helpful if there were separate threads for referral links (I know someone else suggested this) once the basic info about an offer has been shared and discussed on the £10 thread? Eg, a thread for sharing Free Shares links, a thread for sharing survey codes, a thread for free banking app bonuses, a thread for crypto currency referral links?

In a similar vein, there could be separate threads for Potato, A*n, LB etc? Then only those people who know the inner workings of such things can discuss the issues amongst themselves. Instead of asking on the main thread where unfamiliar others are scratching their heads and asking…what is Potato? What is Amur???

What do others think about streamlining the main £10 thread? So that it is mainly made up of info, questions, tips, and discussions about new free cash offers, work at home opps, surveys, mystery shopping tasks, paid market research, money saving deals, good cash back offers etc?

Then, if something on the main thread proves very popular…such as the recent £20 free Chase offer, there could be a separate thread set up purely for sharing referral links and asking questions about how this offer works. Same for something like the free shares.io offer.

These are just my thoughts as I am typing. I really don’t want to disrupt a wonderful set of ‘money making from home’ threads at all. These friendly, helpful and informative threads have been a lifeline to many, including myself. The info, ideas, and deals I have discovered on here have been truly amazing. I am so grateful to the posters who have shared things for others to take advantage of. The wealth of knowledge and kindness amongst folk on here is so lovely. I personally have learned, and earned (!), so much from posters on here over the years.

I don’t want to spoil anything, I am just thinking of ways that we could improve things a little bit to make these £10 threads even better so people don’t get fed up and stop posting. I don’t want anyone to feel irritated or annoyed scrolling through these threads. People should come away from here feeling fired up, inspired, and enthusiastic! Like I did when I first chanced upon them!

@Otterses you are the pioneer! You started this amazing community off with all your great money making links and referrals. I would love to hear what you think about these £10 threads a few years on and if you have any thoughts on how we could maintain the momentum going forwards.

I love these threads and I don’t like to think that some people were getting bored of them because of something that could easily be changed.

8DPWoah · 08/06/2022 09:27

With respect, there is a 'what is..?' post once a week or so and it is always answered in an NDA friendly way by someone that knows fairly quickly. Am* is a shopping task on Appen.

Those posts however do get lost amongst the repetitive codes though in my opinion- for me personally the thread is about finding longer term ways to earn £10 a day BUT it's not my personal thread of course and it will do different things for different people, and that's the genius of it.

But simple questions aren't an issue at all and I think it would be untrue to suggest that they don't get answered helpfully when they are (not infrequently) asked.

SpatzBurger · 08/06/2022 09:34

@ruralwanderer wow your search sciences amount is amazing. I did look at the link but didn't really understand it. What does it entail?

Redcrayons · 08/06/2022 10:28

i don’t mind the project chat at all, even when it’s something I don’t do. If there was a separate chat for everything then people will miss out.

I only learnt about a few different things I’m active on through discussion on this thread.

I’d rather see 10 ‘what’s potato’ posts than posters who just hop on every month to drop their referral codes and don’t contribute anything else. But, I can quite easily scroll past it.

whatver the offer was on the May thread (Chase?) got a little out of hand, IMO, and I dropped off the thread.

I agree, I am happy to tell people that potato is Crisp thinking but get fucked off with the chancers sharing nothing but their own links.

I've been here since the start too and these threads genuinely changed my life. I left a job I hated and my side hustles are my real job now.

We can't name the Appen projects like Am@@ btw else we will be in breech of the NDAs. I don't think separate threads will help but I'm happy to PM people with details if needed.

I would love the helpful friendly chat to carry on, just less of the random referral link posts.

SurvivingTheGame · 08/06/2022 10:51

I agree, I used to follow these threads regularly, usually under different names. There used to be a focus on the contractor type work which was very useful, I hadn’t been on in a while but rejoined the May thread and all the links were very off putting. I like to see info about the regular work, particular projects and qualifications etc. Although sometimes useful, I’d rather see the cash back type links in another thread

TwistedSisters · 08/06/2022 10:57

Hello all...long time lurker, haven't posted before. I'm currently working on LB/Telus maps, been on there for a while and managing to earn a bit in my spare time. Does anyone know if I will be able to work on Appen projects at the same time? Sure I read somewhere once that you couldn't work for both together but I may be mistaken ...I think I saw that you're doing both @Catatemyhomework ? If I can do both I want to apply for some Appen ones to boost my earnings! 😊

Buster27 · 08/06/2022 11:01

I personally would prefer the thread didn't get split into smaller threads, I couldn't be bothered following and posting to multiple threads and also think some would be too slow moving. I generally skim over posts about income streams I don't use, but I find it quite interesting to hear how people are doing on them - out of curiosity and also in case I need to branch out further at some point. I can see that the more cryptic posts would be confusing when you first follow the threads, maybe we could add something to the main post to explain why names are starred out and that Potato = Crisp? Although I agree that when it's asked about it's politely explained.

The possible exception for me is the referral links - I don't have an issue with people sharing them but there were so many in the last thread it seemed to kill the conversation and just be a page of links. I don't usually find it a problem though to be fair.

@8DPWoah @AdaShelby @Redcrayons @SurvivingTheGame

Thanks for providing your thoughts on the matter. I agree that we would miss out on projects / jobs that people often chat about if they were on a separate thread. So that’s not a solution but it’s not really an issue as it doesn’t happen all the time, like has been pointed out. I was just using potato questions as a comparison but they are infrequent compared to referral link only posts.

The issue of referral link spamming seems to be the main thing that is irritating people. You’re right, it isn’t fair at all on the regular posters who take the time to post info and new ideas for some random to just jump on with their links and not contribute anything new at all. It’s really cheeky and spoils otherwise interesting threads.

It is brilliant when someone has discovered a new money making project, WFH job, or sign up / free cash deal and they come along to explain how it all works and give helpful tips. That is the type of stuff I am here for. I am more than happy to click on and use these type of referral links because the poster has taken time to share and explain to us what it is all about. This is really helpful. Similarly, if other posters, who have already done that particular new offer, come along to share advice and tips and things to look out for when doing the offer etc, I am very happy to use their shared referral code too.

It is the posts that just drop their link and go that are a pain. I think most of us find that really irritating because it adds absolutely nothing to the thread. We cannot learn from posts like that or pick up useful tips. ‘Referral Link Dumps’ - RLDs 😂 - make me feel a bit ‘used’, if that makes sense! Like, you want me to use your link to make you some money but you don’t want to provide anything in return? Not that every post we make has to be cram packed with helpful info, but just doing a RLD (!) is rude and ‘not really in the spirit’, to coin a well used phrase!

I think, next time, there is another amazing deal, like the Chase one, that has taken the internet by storm (people are sharing it all over Reddit and FB), perhaps we should set up a separate thread for folk to just share their links on. That means the main thread won’t be cluttered up with it all. It is nice to be able to share our referral links with each other to make extra money from sign ups, which is what we are all here for - extra money! (And, how amazing does it feel when you discover someone has used your link 😊 and you see unexpected cash in your account). However, if those same links start being repeated page after page, I think they then need their own thread.

Sorry for waffling! I hope the above makes sense and sounds reasonable. Thank you for those who didn’t fall asleep reading! 🙂

N0va · 08/06/2022 12:04

Sorry to hijack in the middle of the thread content discussion!

Does anyone do matched betting, if so do you use a service like profit accumulator? I've started this month after months of research that basically was pointless as I couldn't comprehend it and have been using profit accumulator but I've seen some people not using a service and can't understand how they know what to do?! If anyone could share I'd really be interested! Smile

8DPWoah · 08/06/2022 12:06

Totally agree @LennyBennett, I can think of a few months someone (I forget who, really sorry!) happened across a really good deal on Tide and there was quite a bit of chatter about it but it was constructive back and forth like the normal posts, done like that it's all in the spirit I think. Plus it was £75, really simple, and almost all of us were eligible, bonus!

LennyBennett · 08/06/2022 12:09

@Buster27 Sorry, I cross posted with you.

I am in agreement with you re referral links. I don’t have an issue with people sharing them because it is an excellent way to gain extra cash easily and makes us a community that help each other out. It brings a sense of goodwill when someone thanks you for using their link and then another person goes on to use yours. Sort of like a chain reaction where everyone can, hopefully, benefit from each other.

I, personally, am focusing on the sign up and cash back deals at the moment having had a break for a few years. So, I am glad to see people sharing links to new stuff that I have not heard about or possibly missed out on. I even used somebody’s dreaded Chase one 😂! I have used loads of links this last few weeks. If people hadn’t shared them, I would never have known about them, which sort of defeats the object of the thread! In turn, I have been sharing my own referral codes in the hope that someone else uses mine.

I know that the time will come when I have done most of the sign up deals to new banks, shares etc. I will then start looking at more long term ways of making money from home, like you are now doing. It’s sort of like a natural progression. I also like reading about what others are working on and how they find it. Gives me ideas for the future.

Anyway, onwards and upwards gang!

Buster27 · 08/06/2022 12:14

@LennyBennett You've summed it up nicely there I think! It's the RLD's (lolled at this!) that are irritating.

@N0va I've done quite a bit of matched betting (though haven't been doing it in recent months). I've always used Oddsmonkey so I'm not sure how people do it without.. seems like it would be a slog to find offers and check they're decent EV. I figure the OM subscription pays itself anyway for the free commission at the exchange (assume PA do this too).

Buster27 · 08/06/2022 12:16

@LennyBennett I'm cross posting with you now!

N0va · 08/06/2022 12:18

@LennyBennett I'm also doing sign ups etc because I'm finding a lot of the good stuff that everyone discusses is putting me on a waiting list! I'm looking forward to joining in what others have been doing for a long time and hope to make a steady (as can be!) income eventually!

Catatemyhomework · 08/06/2022 12:24

@TwistedSisters , The LB/Telus vs Ap*n is still quite an unknown really. I would never disclose to either that I did work for the other as no one really knows how each feels about it. However, I did read somewhere once that it is allowed provided you do not work for the same company on the same project, i.e. if you work for an Apple project on LB you can not work for the same project on Ap*n as both are for the same client. Here is a useful link that demonstrates the different compatibilities across the project types:

passleapforceexam.com/2017/03/14/projects-and-vendors-compatibility/

Provided you are never working for the same client on either of the two companies, you should be fine. I have never had a problem. For me, my project mixes are one for Apple and one for Google.

Plus all of the surveys and basic AI speech and listening tasks are fine. There is also Teamai who used to isoftstone. They often have the odd decent project too.

LennyBennett · 08/06/2022 12:24

@N0va I used to do matched betting years ago but stopped when I done most of the sign up offers.

I recall people using a free matched betting service www.teamprofit.com

It might be this that people are referring to. Like you, I subscribed to Profit Accumulator to news of all the offers.

I have just clicked in the Team Profit link myself and it has changed a lot since I last used it years ago. I am going to have a nosy at it myself as it looks like there are new ideas for money making on there. So, thanks for reminding me about it!

I used to subscribe to the Team Profit daily newsletter. They emailed every day with that day’s offers and gave a really clear and simple explanation of how to do each one. It was so helpful. I hope they still do it, I am sure they will as it was so popular.

@Buster27 Thank you! Glad to make you LOL 😂

justalittlebitextra · 08/06/2022 12:28

I've not read or posted in a while as I got fed up with the referral link spamming as well, especially just the obvious copy and paste jobs. I would much prefer that to be split off to a separate thread, with perhaps a mention of any new deals on this thread.

I also find that questions about acronyms are answered generally politely and swiftly. Also, (as I did when I first started) it is not that difficult to read back over the last couple of months threads and pick up what is going on.

I had a decent month last month with £85 from surveys (mainly Prolific) and $959 from Ap, mainly my two main projects. I also earned c. £500 for two days election work (poll clerk and count assistant) which I would definitely recommend if you can get on it.

N0va · 08/06/2022 12:29

@Buster27 @LennyBennett
Thank you both for sharing!

I'm going to check our team profit and see what it's all about. I must admit I wish I had more to start with as I'm trying to power through all the sign up offers while I've paid £1 for profit accumulator full access for a week Grin

Catatemyhomework · 08/06/2022 12:32

Weird bold text again. I give up!!

justalittlebitextra · 08/06/2022 12:34

@Catatemyhomework it's the asterisks - they start and end a passage in bold in the MN script.

Catatemyhomework · 08/06/2022 12:37

@justalittlebitextra , ah, ok thanks. I'm sure they never used to do that. I don't like this new site!

TwistedSisters · 08/06/2022 14:06

@Catatemyhomework thanks for that link, it's really useful. Hopefully I'll manage to pick up an Appen project as well, fingers crossed!

On the subject of cash back for joining bingo / casino sites, just seen this offer for Ladbrokes Casino on Top Cash Back.

It is £50 CB for depositing and wagering just £10. That is a fab offer - £40 free cash even if you lose all of your £10 deposit.

The only snag is, you only qualify if you are a brand new Ladbrokes customer. Sadly, I used to use a Ladbrokes account for matched betting so I am not eligible for this offer. If you have never joined any of the Ladbrokes gambling sites, you could try it out.

www.topcashback.co.uk/ladbrokes-casino/

Thank you again @DisgracefulDolly I did the Ladbrokes cash back deal and £50 cash back is now pending (though obviously no guarantee).

Sadly I lost £2 of my £10 stake this time (as opposed to my Bonus Kings £30 win!), but it's a risk worth taking for me.

If both come through, I'll have £105 cash back overall.
