Working and universal credit?

I left my ex in January and moved in with my parents. I was a stay at home mum (my youngest was only 3 months at the time) so I put in a universal credit claim.
I’ve since got a little 2 day a week job. Do I need to notify UC or will it be deducted automatically? My wage slip says I earned £670 this month.

You need to inform them of any changes straight away. Log in and put a message on your journal.

Report it on your account - go into report a change - then select work and earnings and then fill in all the requested fields. The figures you give won't be used it will be info from HMRC that will be taken into account. It will throw up a check if no wages come through for some reason and your Case Manager might get in touch to prevent an overpayment. Reporting on your journal doesn't necessarily update your claim.

You should have put a change of circumstances as soon as you started working.
put it on there now and put the date you started working.

You shii on your have informed them
the day you started work. Do it now on your online journal and they usually ask you to fill in a form around earnings. It’s all automatic once you’ve let them know

Tell them everything you think you perhaps might need to tell them. This is a good example. If you tell them more than they need to know, it won't matter.

Thanks all. I've updated it now. I don't know why I assumed it would all be automatic through HMRC or something!

Wages should be automatically reported to them through HMRC but you still need to report the change. It should be fine.
