Amazon Return

I bought a Multimedia player from amazon and in November and it's not working. I did the returns form it asked if I wanted a replacement or refund. I asked for a replacement, completed the rest of the stuff and logged the request. I got an email from them this morning saying that as the item is no longer available from their supplier, they would refund. I've just checked and they have 2 in stock but they cost more than I paid for mine. Should they still send me a replacement. It just sounds as if they don't want to send it as it'd cost more.

I bet the 2 in stock are from Marketplace traders and not Amazon. These are just private sellers like Ebay and Amazon dont have or own the goods.

Amazon are really good on returns and will refund as soon as they get the item back.
