Remortgage application

Our fixed rate mortgage deal is up for renewal in early September, so about 6/8 weeks ago we started looking at our options to remortgage. We got a good deal and started the application process.

We have submitted all the requested paperwork, paid the product fee (taken from my account 2 weeks ago) and had a valuation conducted (valuer came out last week).

I really want to get it all finalised as interest rates have gone up since we started our remortgage application, and if this falls through we would be looking at a higher rate.

So my question is, can the bank retract their offer after they've taken the product fee? Are they likely too?

Our credit scores are good and all our paperwork was in order.
