Hi i have received this message in my journal can you pls advise as im on the edge!!!

I am contacting you about your claim to Universal Credit. I need to discuss in some detail the information that you’ve provided, as I have some questions about it. I will call you Tuesday 17/05/22 between 9am and 12 noon.
I will also require you to provide documentary evidence to verify certain elements of your claim.

Please note that the call may display as no caller ID or an 0800 number so please answer when I call.

What do you need advice on? They're going to call you for more details about your claiand will need evidence for some of it.
That could be proof of rent, proof of disability, proof of right to claim benefits.

Well I haven't recently applied to anything so i wanted to know if anyone else received anything like this, im on carrers allowance so iim not sure really.

Ah right I see. I think they review your carers allowance periodically to make sure you're still entitled to claim it so I would assume its for that.

IIRC @babyroobs knows a lot about the system so hopefully they'll be notified of this tag and be able to help.

Uc has asked for gas/elec saftey certificate is this normal?

Did they say what for??

Have they confirmed your tenancy? Sounds like they are checking your landlord is legit

They requsted tenancy agreement bills gas/electric safty, energy performance certificate and confirmation letter from school

Also gp confirmation and childrens birth certificates

Have you actually applied for UC??

I have been receiving uc since 2019

Sounds like they are checking you live where you say you do

Hello @elaezra - I don't think you meant to post this in the guest posts section, so we've moved it Money Matters where you can hopefully reach more people too!

If you made your Uc claim during covid when lots of people made claims all at once, they did not do the full verification process so I believe they are now going back over these just to check everything was correctly verified. So it could be to do with that. Nothing to worry about .
