Hi sorry to post about a minor thing but I’ve got forgot to work my UC out
so uc take earning into consideration but how do I work the 55p off each pound and eat way
lol my mind gone blank
say I earn 1600 I can earn £344.00 before 55p come off each pound so 1600.00- 344.00 =1256 so what sum do I do next I need to take 55p from every pound of £1256 my minds gone blank
Thankyou

The way you write is very hard to read but to work out 55p of every pound for £1256 you just do 0.55 x 1256, or are you asking a different question?

Danikm151 · 15/05/2022 23:14

Just multiply the amount you are left with after the work allowance by 0.55 then take that value away from your UC allowance.

If you earn £1600 in your assessment period, the calculation is £1600 - £344 x 0.55. This amount is the deduction from your total UC ( the total of your elements).
