Anyone applied recently to Nationwide for a remortgage ?? Just interested to see how long it will take for them to say yes or no ?? Want to reduce our interest rate on the mortgage and decided that we had stayed 13 years too long with our other provider. Any ideas ?

I just did one and it took about 7 weeks start to finish.

Soultrader, how long did it take for them to email you back ? Want to see if they are going to accept us or do we need to go somewhere else ?

Shouldn't take that long at all, are you using a broker? They will have an idea at application stage what the lenders timescales are like.

We remortgaged to nationwide on February. From applying on the website to getting the offer was about 2 days. Then a couple of months for the legal stuff

No, we have not used a broker, just went through the Nationwide website. Fingers crossed, we can get the remortgage approved.

About 2 hours for AIP
About 4 months for awful conveyancer to do her side of things.
About 2 weeks for renewed AIP because the first one had run out
About another month to convince the conveyancer that my surname is my surname, not my middle name is my surname after she “thoughtfully” reregistered our house to Dr MiddleName and Mr Surname.

But the banking side of things was a breeze. We were remortgaging for less than 1 salary though.
