Cont based ESA and UC

Keep seeing that ESA is being changed to UC but thought this doesn't apply to contribution based ESA, just income based. Is that correct? Thanks

Correct. You can also claim contributions based ESA alongside UC if you qualify for both, but the new style ( contributions based ) Esa would be deducted from the UC,
