Just wondering if anyone has received this yet?

OP posts:

I won’t get it at all because my house is supposedly worth too much. It was bought as a wreck to renovate and I paid half the price of the completed house next door, but it’s in the same council tax band because council tax doesn’t relate to current house value. The whole scheme is ridiculous, your ability to pay doesn’t relate to your council tax band!

Nothing from Leeds yet

We got ours today. We’ve had two lots of £150 Is it per person ?

Ooo lucky you I think it's per household too

gogohm · 27/04/2022 17:00

We are band e so no rebate here - 3 bed terraced house. We also have one of the highest in the country

DahliaMacNamara · 27/04/2022 17:02

My council's website says they don't have the software yet, don't call us, etc. They update the page periodically but it's pretty much been the same message for a couple of weeks now.

Katyy · 27/04/2022 17:51

Yes I thought it was on the property. Don’t know what’s happened there. Looks like I’m not the only one. Better not spend it.

Got mine today from Leeds council.

This may answer why.

Quoted the wrong post, it was the PP with a duplicate payment from Leeds council.

Beepbopblop · 27/04/2022 18:31

This week, our council are paying it to you the day they would normally take your DD

DistrictCommissioner · 27/04/2022 18:37

We are Band E so not getting it. It doesn’t keep me awake at night but I do feel a bit irritated that we don’t get it but my parents do - even though their house is twice the value of mine (but obviously wasn’t in 1991!)

That was me - I was expecting they'd try to get it back so will just keep an eye on the account to make sure they only take it back once...

Nearlyadoctor · 27/04/2022 19:37

Yes we got ours on Monday - Devon

NoWordForFluffy · 27/04/2022 21:14

pumpkinpie01 · 27/04/2022 15:34

Not had ours yet - is everyone going to credit their energy company with it or use it for something else ?

Not had ours yet (payment goes out tomorrow; council is saying they're hoping to pay by the end of June), but no, it's just going into my savings account. I'm on a fixed rate until Aug '23, so don't need it yet. If I need it next year, I'll have it available to use.

SomethingWycked · 27/04/2022 21:18

Yes I had mine on Monday from the Lincolnshire area council where I live.

The council i work for - Humberside region- have said DD accounts will have the credit hopefully by middle of May - its a lot bigger area than the one I live in so a lot more accounts to work through.

theshavenraven · 27/04/2022 21:21

Yes

LaurieFairyCake · 27/04/2022 21:23

Yes, yesterday (London Borough)

timestheyarechanging · 28/04/2022 03:51

Mine has a recorded message saying it will be paid between May and September.

Autienotnaughtie · 28/04/2022 04:30

Yes the other day, no letter or anything just straight in account.

Dontlickthetrolley · 28/04/2022 04:53

No, but my council couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery so I'd expect it around 29 September. Apparently, they're still working out how to pay it.

Danikm151 · 28/04/2022 11:20

Birmingham has said it aims to start payments in May so that could mean any time up till September.

Silkierabbit · 28/04/2022 11:26

No Band E so don't qualify even though can't work atm due to chemotherapy and house is about half the cost of the band D one we moved from. But its based on 30 year ago prices. It is planned for this month in ours if band A to D, the discretionary there is still no policy on.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 28/04/2022 11:27

checked online my council says first payments will start being made in April-May, they state if they dont have your bank acc details they will send a letter asking for the details if you want the payment. Starting to think this is one big con to ensure I set up a direct debit!!!!

DockOTheBay · 28/04/2022 11:29

Yes we got it last week. Hampshire

Yeah I thought that too. I actually set it up for my first instalment in April thinking I'll cancel it again as soon as the 150 payment comes in. And bugger me it hasn't appeared yet 😂
