Erudio, Student Loans, deferal which evidence?

Hi, I've just tried to defer my student loan for another year but I'm missing some evidence apparently. They do not tell you online what evidence you are missing, you have to wait for a letter. Well, I've been waiting weeks, so I'm trying to guess what it is! It's the first year I've done a tax self assessment form, can anyone please advise me of the name of the form that it wants as evidence for this? Whatever I've sent is not sufficient and I don't know what to ask the accountant for. Many thanks.

Page 10 says copy tax return / SA302. What did you send?

Toponeniceone · 12/04/2022 07:00

I think I sent them a copy of my tax return. It's all the paperwork I have. Where do I get the SA302 from?

Maybe it's not that then. Maybe it's extra evidence regarding salary or something. Ridiculous to not have the information required online.

Via your HMRC account by the look of it. Im having to Google as I'm PAYE and always have been!

NoWordForFluffy · 12/04/2022 07:06

Except it is online, in the first link I provided. And you don't seem sure what you sent either. I'd just send the copy tax return and the SA302 and see what happens.

It does say if your income is now less than the tax return shows you have to send more evidence. Have you fallen foul of that?

Toponeniceone · 12/04/2022 07:17

Well that's what I mean about it not being online, as in, I have sent everything requested but whatever the additional information required is, I have to wait weeks and weeks for a letter to arrive to find out. The information is not on my HRMC account for some reason.

Maybe it's income related. I haven't changed jobs but have picked up some temporary overtime. Who knows? I await the letter.

Why don't you ring them? They've always picked up quickly when I've called.

Toponeniceone · 12/04/2022 07:23

I've rang and emailed to no avail. I'll try again this morning.

Hi, this happened to me and it was a bank statement they needed (after literally just guessing a couple of times prior what paperwork they needed!) Hope you get it sorted
