How long for encashment of investments following probate?

My Mum died last year and I am the executor of her estate. I have paid the IHT due and finally got probate on Jan 10th this year.
I sent several copies of the probate letter to her IFA and he is managing the encashment (I hope I’m using the right term there!). It’s now 3 months later and he still can’t give me a date or in fact any detail as to the progress of getting the cash out of the investments. I appreciate this sort of thing can’t be done overnight but how long is a reasonable time period? I’m especially concerned as I believe the stock market is quite volatile at the moment with the Ukraine/Russia issues.
Does anyone have any expertise in this area and a pan advise?
Thanks in advance!

I don't have any advice but the correct term is liquidation 😀

Has the IFA sent the encashment request/s off to the providers? Timescales do vary depending on the type of investment but waiting this long seems excessive. What types of investment are being encashed? For example, an ISA encashment would take no more than a week or two, once the paperwork was all in order. An Offshore Bond would take longer
