I don't know much about life insurance, it SOUNDS like a good deal but that's just a quote. The real amount would be based on a medical questionnaire. I'm healthy but quite overweight so that would probably affect the amount considerably, yes?

Is this a scam? and are there better companies than bounty out there?

No, not a scam at all but I'd recommend that you get a proper quote based on your actual medical history then shop around. If you have a partner you should both get insurance. We've found Marks and Spencer's financial services very good for life insurance.

i would never , ever get anything like this over the phone.. always go through an IFA as they are not tied to a product and will give impartial advice based on what is best for you, rather than pushing one product.. i have a lot more cover than that for not much more money than that....through the Prudential.

Doesn't sound that outstanding to me. I pay £9.95 a month to Direct Line and get around £200k of cover and it goes to my estate not just my kids (i.e. dh can benefit).

you're obviously down to live till you're a zillion years old.

Thanks, so general consensus so far is that it isn't that good. Anyone else got any insurer recommendations?

Legal and General have historically been pretty good -- and you can normally get a quote online from them.

I also had this call a while ago and when i said no they kept calling back for a while after.

I didn`t know if it was a scam but they wanted my card details more or less straight away and it made me think that it was at the time as i never give out my details.

Just thought i would share this with you so you don`t feel alone on this one x

Never buy anything from someone who has cold called you on the phone.

You should get some life insurance, we have ours with Royal Liver.
