Contractual pay and SSP

I’m currently off sick from work. The sick pay policy is, for the length of time I have worked on a permanent contract, that I will receive one month full pay and two months half pay.

Policy also states that as long as the employee has reported illness per the guidelines then in the period of half pay, sick pay will be an equivalent of half normal earnings plus an amount equivalent to Statutory Sick Pay and Employment and Support Allowance receivable, so long as total sum does not exceed normal pay.

Does this mean that I will be entitled to SSP whilst I’m receiving half pay please?

I’ll contact payroll on Monday but just asking on here if anyone has knowledge of this.

Yes - as long that doesn't take you over your normal pay. If it does I assume that it would just be capped.

Yes you will receive half pay plus SSP as long as it doesn't exceed full pay

Thank you both.
