Energy Usage / Cost

Probably a hot topic right now but.. I've been looking at our energy bills as we are already tightening our belts to suffocation point. We have a 1960s, mid terrace, 3 bedroom with original double glazed windows, a very draughty diningroom and no roof insulation (it's getting done this month)

We are paying £115 a month based in last years usage, and that takes pretty much every last penny we have, but our actual bills are coming out around £140-160 a month.

We only heat the house for 1.5 hours in the morning to 18, and 4 hours at night to 19. Literally turn everything off as we leave a room, use smart sockets and lights.

I'm looking to see what a average spend is for our type of home as trying to work out if we somehow need to cut back more on energy, or start looking for a money tree somewhere.

Any energy saving tips?

Hello @OnNaturesCourse - Just popping by to say (and hopefully give this a bump!) that we're doing a Q&A with fuel poverty charity National Energy Action about energy price rises and ways to cope on Wednesday at 12 noon. The thread is open for questions here.
