Childcare 30 Free Hours

Hi

I feel like I've spent hours searching for this and got nowhere. Does anyone know if all children get 15 hours free childcare regardless of income? Or is it income dependent?

Thanks!

Income dependent

Sorry just seen that your asking about the 15 hours not 30 hours as in your title.
Everyone gets 15. The extra 15 is income dependent

Yes. Once your child turns 3, the minimum you get regardless of income is 15hrs a week (term time). However, it may not work out to 15hrs if you are going to a private nursery.

If you earn less than £100k, you are entitled to 30hrs a week (term time). Again, not all nurseries accept 30hrs, plus if private the number of hrs you get will differ.

One to add, if your husband earns over £100k and you earn less (Vice Versa). You won't qualify for 30hrs childcare.

All in all, you start saving some money

All children get 15 hours funded. It's income dependent for the 30 hours funded.

15 hours any income

Thank you everyone!

So much clearer than trawling google for a transparent answer.
