Phone broken but still under contract...

Ds phone is 2 years old and under a 3 year contract which we took out with Tesco We don't have insurance either. Its so annoying that these phones do not last the 3 year contracts anymore or they drop them! What are my options do you think I can take it back to store to get it fixed?

This is what insurance is for. The store won't fix it unless you intend to pay them for it!

Could you see how much it would cost to upgrade your phone and come out of your contract early? Depending on what the fee is it might be better for you to do that instead of paying for it to be fixed. I did this when I lost my phone, as I couldn't afford to buy a brand new handset outright (luckily someone found my phone and handed it in so I was able to cancel the upgrade!)

You're better asking around town/your friends of where locally does phone repairs, likely to be MUCH cheaper than the official manufacturer/seller.

I'm a chronic phone breaker sadly

Use a screen protector next time, my phone screen is smashed I get it fixed at a local phone repair shop but it’s not a contract phone though

If the phone is faulty then you can argue a right to repair under The Consumer Rights Act but if it has been broken then you are going to have to pay to repair it if you haven't got insurance. It isn't anything to do with the length of contract if your child breaks their phone. Perhaps just get them a PAYG if they won't look after it?
