ASDA and Mastercard

Anyone else having problems with on-line pre-booked food orders from Asda?
They verify the Mastercard the day before the order is collected and for the last 3 weeks, they're unable to verify the card for some reason therefore last minute panic as expected shopping won't be coming.
I'm going round in ever decreasing circles trying to get it sorted.
Bank say signal between Asda and Mastercard is "dropping out", but what can I do about that?
No other card so can't try a different one.
Anyone know if this is a known issue?
Google is giving me nothing.

I find it hard to believe there is an issue between Asda and Mastercard, they will make up maybe a third to a half of all Asda's transactions, so they'd be on it pronto, but I suppose it's something worth eliminating. I used to have a card, can't remember which flavour, that never seemed to work at the pay at pump at Morrisons, so I stopped bothering to use it there.

Is this the only card you have? If not, try another one. If it is, you should get another card if if at all possible, because you're currently vulnerable to not being able to spend money in the event of all sorts of problems, or if you lose the card.

At least a few times a year, some bank reports processing problems then you get the sad face media reports about people 'unable to buy food' or 'can't buy fuel so can't get to work so lose money' because they only have one card to pay with. Madness.

Not online shopping but whenever I fuel up at asda and use my mastercard debit card it fails to through. It declines at the £1 pre authorisation! Use another card and absolutely fine. No idea why. However my other card has just had a new card sent through and its a mastercard too, so look alike I'll no longer be using asda! {

Well, I suppose that everyone manages their finances in a way that works best for them Barbara.
We've only ever run 1 credit card, so that it's easier to keep track of what we've spent and where.
I have a small stash of cash in my knicker drawer (now, that is possibly madness!)so won't be appearing in any sad face media reports any time soonWink.
Since posting, I did find a website where other folk are having the same or similar problems so it is helpful to know that it's not just me - though, it doesn't get me any further forward regarding a solution.
The card works fine for every other company and also works in the Asda shop, it's just the online click and collect where the problem is, and that has only started in the last 3-4 weeks.
