Covid isolation grant

Hey everyone

Me and my son have tested positive for covid and i have applied for the isolation grant. Has anyone else had it before how long did it take after applying for it to receiving it?

I had it a few months ago now. They said to allow 5 weeks or something. It I had it in my account within 3 days. It's processed by local government/councils though so completely area dependent

But because it’s Christmas there could be delays - could you ask your work to advance it to you, and you’ll pay them back when it arrives? Worth asking I think, and I’d really hope they’d want to help at Christmas -
