No I’ve been trying to get a better deal from BT for months to no avail. They don’t seem to care if you leave. It’s very annoying because their internet is far superior to any others we’ve ever had so I don’t actually want to leave but it does seem very expensive.

If they are better it sounds like they don't need to fight to keep people. I suspect the people who leave soon come back when their deal runs out.

Someone on anther thread mentioned a package with 5 mobile phone sims, can you enquire about bundles to get better value?

PlumManor · 12/12/2021 10:26

If your BT contract has come to an end what you see on BT.com as the deals of the moment are absolutely the best they can do, they can’t whip another one up from under the table, they don’t operate that way.

Personally I think full fibre 150mg for 29.99 is pretty good, you can get cheaper yes but honestly not all broadbands are equal, they really aren’t.

blablablack · 12/12/2021 11:17

I've just left bt and while I was in a contract. They just sent an email saying we expect your last bill to be £120. Then once the connection stopped they sent another email saying we expect it final bill to be £219. No difference 🙈 can't be that difficult to calculate. Anyway no one has ever called me trying to get me to stay at all!

I'm with BT - no landline, basic TV (called entertainment) and broadband. £210 a quarter - I've no idea why it's so much. I called them last year and they managed to tweak £10 off but the 24-month contract restarted - if I want to leave, I have to pay the balance of the contract.

AllThatFancyPaintsAsFair · 12/12/2021 17:31

What did they offer you when you asked for a better deal?

There aren't any other options where I am and at last renewal they gave me more TV packages for the same money. Do you have BT tv?
