ODDS MONKEY - Matched Betting

Been reading up on this, quiet a lot over the last few days and seem to be finding nothing but positive remarks regarding it. Me and OH could certainly do with some additional income as we've just started married life and planning for a family and this seems like something we can spend time together doing to drum up additional income - and tax free! Bonus!
These are all questioned based soley on matched betting - not casino. May venture into this if this plays out well... but one step at a time! Smile

My questions are;

Anyone a recent new beginner with personal experience of using odds monkey to match bet and been successful with it?

How much money should we start with?

How much time would we need to invest into it to be making a steady £500 per month? More if achievable?

How big is the risk with this? We aren't people who can afford to invest in something with high risk. Hence, looking for a quick easy passive income to help us out.

How hard is it to navigate for complete beginners? Not even experienced in normal betting.

Is it absolutely tax free?? Doesn't have to be declared or anything? Just slide straight into the bank account?

If a experienced user (1 year+) how much profit would you say you've made in that year? And how much loss?

Do I need to set up a new email account before beginning this journey?

  • no judgement please. - been exploring avenues of means of a profitable income to work alongside our long working hours in physically demanding jobs. Even been completely surveys but it pays penny's for 10-20mins time. Requires too much time. We both got second jobs, but suffered mental health issues because of it - never being home nor seeing each other. Plus paid the tax man a small fortune, the effort didn't pay in rewards.

Thank you for any advice in advance. Grin

I wouldn't use a paid subscription to start with. Use one of the free intro guides such as Team Profit until you get used to it.

You can start with £10 - £20

You can make more money to start with because of the free bet offers

The risks are (i) human error which is why it is best to start small and learn gradually and (ii) becoming addicted to gambling.

When you first start it looks quite complex - I had never betted before but just followed the guides and double checked everything. As a beginner, just match bet on football as easiest to understand IMO

Yes it is completely tax free. However you aren't really taking the profits out quickly - your money is constantly being recycled

You don't make a loss from matched betting done properly. It is all profit. I made about £2,500 in 8 months but the offers do dry up and it does then make it harder to profit. The gambling companies don't like people who make a profit so they "gub" you i.e. you will get an email saying that you are no longer eligible for offers. You can still profit after that but it becomes harder.

I didn't set up a new email or bank account but many do.

You need to set up a spreadsheet to record your money.
