Third Baby Due - New Car Needed

Hi, we need to upgrade our car to accommodate a new baby. When baby arrives we will have a 5 year old, 3 year old and newborn. We would ideally like a hybrid - any recommendations? Can't decide whether we could manage with a 5 seater for a few years or whether its more advisable to just get the 7 seater now. We enjoy UK breaks rather than holidays abroad so a comfortable car would be handy for that.

Thanks so much!

We went to a seven seater when I was expecting our third. I had a Renault scenic because it could fit three car seats in the back, had a huge boot (plus the seats if we needed them) and also had a switchable airbag in the front for the early baby days. Had it ten years and it was fab. The seven seats meant we could take an auntie/granny/friend out with us two and not need two cars, especially as we don't live near the in-laws.

We had a Ford S-max when our three were little and it was perfect. Three proper, equally sized seats across the back and a massive boot. We rarely used the extra two seats but they were handy on occasion.

Seat Alhambra here. Couldn’t find much else that would fit 3 seats in a row

Citroen C4 Picasso fits 3 full size seats across the back and decent boot.
