Unrecognised bank transaction - MM Recur

A bank transaction has just appeared on my online banking that I don’t recognise
It was done yesterday and the only places I went was the petrol station and supermarket.

This transaction isn’t large it’s less than £10, abs I’ve searched previous transactions and I’ve never had one from the same company before

I’ve googled MM Recur and nothing comes up.
Does anyone have any ideas?

My bank suggested contacting the retailer to reverse the transaction if it shouldn’t be there but I don’t even know what company it is

Recur will be a recurring payment so may well keep happening
Impossible to track it based on MM.
Will your bank agree to block any further payments to that person/company?

Do you bank with Starling by any chance? I've had the same thing crop up on my account with them from last night too but haven't reported to them yet as I was trying to rack my brains as to what it might be.

Your bank don't sound very helpful! I don't know what this is, but I'd expect my bank to be a bit more proactive. Did you tell them you don’t know what company it is?
I'd get back on to them and insist on more help.

No, NatWest. Interesting you’ve had the same payment. Is it the same amount? £8.48

@Thetrainisinthestation, mine was for £4.90 at 21.41 last night. I do buy a lot of stuff online so it's possible I've ordered something and forgotten but I really can't think what it is!

When this happened to me my bank phoned me immediately, saying it was probably a test fraud payment. They investigated and it was, they cancelled my card and sent me a new one.
Petrol stations have been flagged as places where cards details have been copied.

@thetrainisinthestation I have had a transaction also, my bank helped me find out that it was milk and more, I think they have changed what it says on the statement so hopefully that helps :)

I had put in a fraud claim for a transaction from MM Recur, I'd just completed their fraud questionnaire when I tried googling again and it came up with this thread. Sure enough it's my milk and more payment Blush why would they change their merchant name to something unrecognisable?!

They actually emailed everyone about it, it is a temporary thing.

Check your emails!

Hi

I had an email from Milk & More informing me that the descriptions on the bank statement will be changing.
They had a system change not long ago.

I think it might be Milk & More…. I have something the same on my bank account MM Racur and it’s the amount I pay for my milk delivery.

I hate it when companies do that.
even worse if they use a broker to process card payments or the name of their (obscure sounding) pardnt company.

I just found this on my bank statement and found the answer here! I don’t seem to have an email from milk and more, when did those come through?

I had that same transaction in my 'pending' section then it went through and changed to Milk & More. It was my weekly milk bill - seems that while it is pending processing is has the transaction name of MM RECUR.

Hello, I've also just started getting mm recur on my statement and have checked further. Looks like milk and more have changed how they log themselves on your phone ap, however if you go online fully it shows it as milk and more. Hope that helps and at least its nothing to worry about.

Hi, I had the same and investigated. This is for 'Milk and more' (www.milkandmore.co.uk) and was an expected transaction for me.
