His businesses income doesn’t count as his income in the calculation unfortunately, neither do dividends as far as I know.

The system is fucked!

Dividends can be taken into account but they aren't automatically. OP needs to ask for a variation to take into account dividends and any unearned income.

I’m in the exact situation! My ex started a company a year ago after quitting his 100k plus job. My payments dropped from £900 to £57.60! No warning from him, just a letter from CMS notifying me he had applied for a variation. I have no idea when he would pay himself dividends? How often do directors pay dividends? He’s been director for 1 year now, he must have paid himself dividends as no way he would live on less than minimum wage!

I’m unfortunately still not getting any more they looked into it again but still nothing! It’s shit but I’ve decided to forget it I’ll be glad when his shitty payments stop as mines 18 now . Then less of my time thinking about his Miserable lying abusive face!!! Good riddance I’m Free!

Good for you. I’m actually considering changing bank account so he can keep his fraudulent payments. I’d sooner not have a penny than £14 week based on lies. I just don’t want him to feel he has the control, as that’s all it’s about. Good luck.
