ADVICE PLEASE- ending a rent contract early?

just wonderded as where we are i am just not happy.

what happens if the contract is ended early?

I think you should ring the CAB or Shelter for proper advice but as far as I am aware you can not end your contract until the end of the rental period. If you move out before then you are still liable for the rent and would be considered in breach of contract.

You cannot end the contract before the end of the term. Probably 6 months...

Hi, I ended my contract three months early. I let the landlord know and I offered to find other tenants, which I did. I advertised myself in a local shop and managed to get someone else to take the lease over. It will depend on your landlord and how easy it is to find other tenants but you could maybe see how the landlord would be with this suggestion.

I had already rented for a year and then took on another six months. We found a house to buy earlier than expected and this is why we wanted to get out our lease early.
