Universal credit for couples

Hi, I was wondering if someone can advise me. my partner works 16 hours a week and I work 20 hours per week. My son is 3 and daughter is 10. We have applied for universal credit. Will we both be required to job search and work full time? We currently work 36 hours between us.

Thank you for your reply. I was wondering if they would make us look for work as my partner works 16 hours and I work 20 and we both work part time. His looking for full time work anyway. Or increase his hours from 16 hours xxx
