My UC has been stopped, panicking, please help!

I'm currently 39w pregnant, we have a 3yo DS also, me and my DH have a joint claim, we both work but get UC to top us up.

I've just had a notification to look at my UC journal and it says our bloody claim has been closed and we'll have to reapply! Apparently DH has been emailed 2x to come online and accept his commitments and he has not done this. He did it on 8th September last.

We are panicking big time as we usually get our payment on 14th of every month and we will need every penny when baby arrives (imminent!) we've called and explained that he missed the notification and they've said someone will contact him about re-opening the claim.

Has this happened to anyone else? Any advice?

That’s pretty shit of your DH tbh. He needs to find extra work, take on extra hours, sell some of his possessions.

You get your Uc money in return for agreeing to commitments which your dh has not done, so your claim has closed.
It is very easy to do a rapid reclaim and I believe all your payment dates etc stay the same.
Always check your ' To do' list regularly to avoid this happening again..

@Babyroobs I know, we've had a lot going on he is an idiot. Thanks for the reassurance, this really helped.

It's easy to miss things but should be easily rectified. Hopefully you wont be sanctioned if he just owns up to his mistake.

i'm just updating this thread as still having issues! DH is working 12h shifts in covid lab atm to save up for baby due on Saturday and he keeps missing the calls to get our claim back up and running. He's called them 2 days in a row straight after work via the UC hotline but I think he needs to speak to our case manager specifically to get it all going again. I've called to see if I can do it but apparently I can't!

DH has told them all the times he is available to talk but then they'll call him at a completely random time and he can't answer due to being in a lab.

What are we supposed to do? Its infuriating.
