HELP! Can you break into a cash box?

I was getting prepared for a bodyshop party I am doing later tonight. I put £20 worth of change into my little cash box and locked it.

I have gone back to it and the key has gone! Can only presume its one of the kids - DD swears its not her which can only leave DS who is only 1 so cant talk and tell me where it is!

I have hunted high and low.

If it isnt found is there any way of breaking into it? Or is the money gone forever?!

Depends how cheap the cashbox is!! Normally a large flat-headed screwdriver will work - lever it up near the lock and use a lot of force. A hammer might help to force it in.

No, I'm just very forgetful...

Have locked myself out of my house about 100 times.
