So they are upping the national wage but for people on UC like myself but surely it's going to make no difference has it will just be capped at what it is now?? I'm just curious and clueless to how it all works.

Benefit cap doesn't apply if you are working and earning the minimum amount (currently £142per week)

Ah OK I'm working but don't earn that atm, so it will make no difference to me at all 🤔

@Monsterpumpkins no they don't reduce your benefits by 63p for every £1 you earn unless you have a work allowance they don't take anything from your wages

Are you close to the limit to lift the cap ? if so maybe the increase in earnings will mean you are no longer capped? In this case you would be much better off.
